Real World Data Prospective Observational Studies
Prospective observational studies are an excellent tool for collecting data relating to current clinical practice.
Although timelines can be restricted by rate of presentation of patients, in our experience prospective observational studies have the advantage of allowing the following;
- Collection of bespoke data where this does not already exist to address specific questions
- Provides real data in real time to allow informed decision making
- Data quality and completeness can be controlled beyond that allowed with retrospective data collection
- Patient can be approached for consent (where applicable) easily
- Data collection can be designed to be collected by the NHS as part of usual practice and is therefore very efficient
We have an experienced project management team who provide oversight to ensure these prospective studies generate high quality data according to pre-specified timelines.
