Real World Evidence (RWE) is a term commonly used within the industry to describe evidence that is derived from data that has been collected outside the context of standard clinical trials. It is perhaps this comparison with clinical trials that leads some to focus on real world effectiveness and safety associated with medicines in routine clinical practice. However, real world evidence can offer much more than this through the collection of data to support your value messages.
