We were very happy with the pH Associates patient centred outcome team’s comprehensive approach to selecting PRO instruments for a real world evidence study. Key domains were identified and mapped against known PRO instruments to develop a robust questionnaire that covered all key domains relevant to IBD patients. This work has recently been published at a highly regarded international conference. Thank you

In 2016, two of the 5 studies shortlisted for the inaugural RWE award in the prestigious Prix Galien award were for projects designed, delivered and analysed by pH Associates, including the winning project. This entry was an innovative RWE project which collected data retrospectively from patients’ records on the introduction and use of Astellas’ antibiotic, which was launched in 2012 and also received a commendation at UK Prix Galien 2014. Outlining the rationale behind its win in 2016, Professor Sir Michael Rawlins, Chair of the UK Prix Galien judges commented: “A unique series of local service evaluations were conducted in 2013–2014 to evaluate the impact of Astellas’ antibiotic introduction on the NHS”.
